The zone was developed in accordance with the tenets of green urbanism, a popular method of devising ways to make communities sustainable, livable and less destructive to the environment. The residential areas are built with energy-efficient homes.
The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority will be the first green economic zone in the Philippines using wind power and solar cells for energy and fresh water springs for potable water.
The campus will house the following structures: Administration Building, APECO Clubhouse, Hotel and Staff House
